A distant reality

"Sometimes when I look at you, I feel I'm gazing at a distant star.
It's dazzling, but the light is from tens of thousands of years ago.
Maybe the star doesn't even exist any more. Yet sometimes that light seems more real to me than anything."

— Haruki Murakami (South of the Border, West of the Sun)

  4. Ahh Murakami is an absolute favorite of mine. I love returning to his books, as if remembering a distant memory.

I also love the photo...what a coincidence that I had this picture saved as a favorite on flickr just recently.

  6. Gorgeous image.

Someday I'll pull the Murakami book out of my nightstand drawer and actually read it.

    Maybe when Ike turns 18.
